Trust Fund Age Variation for Children’s Trust Fund?
Shakiki asked:
To make a long story short, my brothers and I have a trust fund set up that’s supposed to be open to distribution between the three of us within the next few years. I swear that the papers regarding the trust fund stated that once the youngest sibling (myself) turns 25 that the trust fund is divided however our father is CERTAIN that the age of distribution is 23 (which would be the end of next month (Jan)). I read another Q about the age thing, etc. but I was wondering if there was some sort of set age variation issued for when the distrubition is (ex. 21, 25, 30) or if it’s just a chosen random age at time of setting up fund account. Hopefully someone can help! Thanks!

wanda l asked:
theier two children in question one i have an the other my ex has i didnt want child support from her but she’s so mean that in return i gave her the house and got an apt. and gave her the car and bank savings i m just dont believe in being mean but her however has been so mean to me selling the house and up and moved leaving our son without contact with her and his brother and get this she filed for me to pay child support….i refused not to be ugly to my child at all….it her way of controling me all over again…both children have trust funds set up for the future and life ins. she cashed mines and my sons in thats with her…..i cant even efford a lawery so the advice i get seems to be double standard from public defenders….telling me just dont pay child support and the judge will automatically drop your parental rights…..that didnt happen instead the court went after my licens and taxes now were taking public transportation and i dont kn ow what to do …! help
dze what do you mean declined by my ex do you mean she can say i dont wantn him to give up his rights
is giving up my parental rights a criminal charge in which the courts can haul me off the jail for or put it on my clean record or will it put my son who is with me in danger if im in court and hes at daycare and they maybe lock me up for saying im giving up my parental rights with no payments!
yah he the pdefender did tell me that he knew i didnt know any better and he told me outside the courtroom verbal not on paper and told me not to worry about it just dont pay it they’ll terminate your rights and as a matter of fact i do have a court paper not from him but from the court that reads on the last page that i was ordered to pay and if i didnt my parental rights will be terminated thats what brought me into the conversation with my pdefender about that part at all and come to think about it now he seemed like he just wanted hurry up and go where ever he was about to drive to anyway! this is the truth

Child support Calculator; did the court (lawyer or case worker) explain these things to you?
Yvette B yvetteb asked:
They are supposed to explain these things to you at court. How many of you are explained to about these things? and if not, how do you learn about the laws where you are? The honor system doesn’t work. Its child SUPPORT, not child TRUST FUND. All of our states are tired of paying for children that the parent (male or female) doesn’t pay for. there IS an online support Calculator.ARREARS: arrears will follow them, no matter what they do.their wages are attached (then some suddenly become ‘laid off’ or work under the table [money is their God]). Once it reaches a certain amount, Its listed on their credit report, their tax refunds (state and federal) are intercepted, drivers license taken away, their property can have a lien put on it, and they are put in jail for small periods of time (released for a small portion) etc. if he tries to run over state line to avoid child support, its now a federal offense. DOES anyone explain these to you? How helpful are they?

i am glad they teach that there, for being aware is the key. here in NJ they dont teach it in school. i think they should…good idea. thanks
some people dont know what to ask, thats the problem. its supposed to be explained, so to prevent any inflaming of the situation. here are some federal links if your case worker isnt on the ball. write your regional federal office; they can turn on the heat. this supportkids org will go after them worse then the IRS, attaching everything they find.

I have spoken with hundreds of single mothers (the org I work for), I hear some on here whining about how the woman gets the car, or house, or money. They fail to see those items are for their children, to raise them, get them to the doctors and provide necessities (electric, food, diapers, tylenol, back to school supplies, etc). They fail to see that if it were just the woman, she could rent a one room apartment (for far less then if she had a child), or that the childs needs come before anyone elses, hers or his. Ignore these guys whom look for loopholes not to take care of their kids. Money is their God.
