Is this analogy of current Americans correct or at least close?

8***L asked:

Current Americans are like trust fund babies all grown up.

They don’t appreciate what they have, they don’t understand how good they have it, they don’t understand what it took to get here, and now they want more free stuff and don’t want to do a days work to get it.

Americans are no longer self-reliant individuals anymore.
Americans can no longer take care of themselves and are starting to rely on the government for everything in life.

In the past it was not like this - but we have changed for the worse.

Americans can no longer do anything for themselves - just like a trust fund child.

Why have we lost our way?

Where has the self-reliance disappeared to?

Why is Big Government our new Trust Fund Daddy?

Very much correct. I would add more, but in the event if I do, my answer will be reported by “trust fund children”.

The saddest part is that the natives still haven’t gotten their lands back, and guess what, they have the highest suicide rate here in Canada because of the poverty.

That is not the way I was raised nor is it the way I raised my kids. Speak for yourself.

Self-reliance disappeared with the beginning of westward expansion, the Gilded age of American politics, and imperialism. Dude, who gave me a vote down? You’re a loser.

Don’t lump us all together, I’m a Republican, and proud of it! I’m not asking for the gov. to bail my ass out of anything, and on the same line, I’m pissed that my taxes are going to be used to bail out lazy no-goods who want everything handed to them! I didn’t vote for Obama because I knew he was going to flush this country right down the sh*tter, right into socialism!

its the current majority.the same thing that history proves time and time again.the power is now in the hands of those that have no idea what makes a country great.all they know how to do is suck off it.this president was elected by those whos only intrest is who will give me more than i am entitled to.they have it and we want it. then when every one is brought down to there level.now the fun starts.we all know what happens to a country that is run by a dictator.some how the so called government is now under the control of a dictator.you do what i tell you to do.or else.and the greatest country in the world.great for the whole world will be no more.every country has been helped by this country one time or another.not one of them ever came to our need, never.will be waiting in line to kick us in the face.may GOD help us.
