Monthly amount into a uk child trust fund?

e.l.a asked:

I’m just about to open a child trust fund with my bank. My husband and i were going to pay in about £50 a month by direct debit. If circumstances change can you alter the amount or do you have to stick to that amount? Thanks.

No, you would simply indicate a range of deposits when completing the paperwork.
